Well, I was typing out the soft copy of the theory bike test and somehow decided to blog.
So here I am.
:)
the bikes me & Mel have been tasked to order have finally arrived, and safely stored in ODAC store. Bike practice is next week too, first practice on tarmac. just hope no one gets scrapped by the rough ground. and (evil grin~) the theory bike test... nyahaha
as such, YA's life is revolving round bikes and cycling, just like a bike wheel going round n round.
:/ hmm....
ok, I'll talk about today.
its been about 10-11 months since i last played floorball and I'm glad that i have the chance to play today. I did not have the chance to take part in the handball competition in school today because of time issues.
Ivan.... why did you set such a short time interval between each game... whyyy....
But, its also because of this that made me choose to play that floorball match in the first place.
the exhilaration and intensity of the game was so similar to those matches in my Secondary school days.
You see, my class had some kind of PE floorball module during Sec 4. So we played floorball whenever we used the hall. Even though our skills were kind of mediocre as we only received basic training, our class's team put in every effort to win every game and we prided ourselves for doing so. yea, we never lost a game :)
I remember back then, i used to play defender and side positions. I still do so even today, even in handball or soccer. haha :D
the important thing was, we were one team. even those in our class who chose to be spectators cheered for us when we played. we were a team.
That was how i felt during that match. those who have never tried floorball and played in the match today, i know everyone gave their best. even those who cheered us on.
i felt team spirit. It made me remember some of my fondest memories
haha (awkwardness), so... thanks Ivan...haha
Did you know that a bike can never travel in a straight line forever? Sooner or later, we'll have to balance the bike by turning the handle bars just a bit.
Maybe that's how I'll describe my life. I'm just doing some realigning to make it go smooth and straight again.
The cycling track is never smooth. The bike needs friction to travel. But every mile it goes wears out its tires bit by bit.
Neither is the track even, there are always bumps and potholes along the way.
Like all the work and assignments i have, the revision i have to do, the stress to endure, the PW! all the sai kang work!! its wearing me out. but life's like that, its something to endure, its something challenging that makes life all the more interesting. Imagine a straight road with no obstacles. Well! sure you can zip across it feel the wind in your face. But its a short and easy ride.
You can't ask Life to stop throwing lemons in your face!
The cyclist also rarely talks during the bike journey. He communicates, but not chat. Most of his attention is focused in the surroundings.
Truth be told, im sort of like that too. The cyclist only enjoys his chat with other cyclists during a break. Its nothing negative though :)
the only disadvantage we have is that we have no brakes. life goes on and on.....
The cyclists only guidance on the road are road signs, signals, traffic and his sense of direction.
We have our beloved parents, teachers, friends, laws in society and our common sense, haha :D
The cyclist changes gear to deal with slopes.
We make changes, we have the ability to choose and decide what we want.
I'm probably under some sort of influence after reading all those notes on the theory test.
So you see, YA's life is revolving round bikes and cycling, just like a cyclist, pushing and turning the pedals round and round...
signing off.
