I had the most horrible day yesterday.
Why was it the most horrible? Because I went to work. Sick.
A bad case of Pharyngitis paired together with a telephone equals to a very bad day.
I had to cover for the receptionist on MC although I told them I had sore throat.
But nooo.... they wouldn't have any of that and I sat there answering calls the rest of the day.
I answered all calls with a low, gruffy (hopefully more sexy), throaty "good morning/afternoon" and tried my best to sound pleasant and not like a bear waking up from hibernation.
Apparently, the 18th was the day people have to file in their taxes and I was well surprised that so many people called last minute to find out the amount the earned.
One agent even called me every 15mins from 10am till 12pm because boss was in a meeting and could not be contacted.
After the meeting, boss replied cooly and with an icy tone:"I could not be bothered to entertain these people who decide to ask last minute!"
Oh well, sorry I couldn't help you poor agent.

I coughed throughout the day, I guessed that the talking may have aggravated my already sore throat. My colleagues tried to lessen my burden by diverting calls away from me, whch I thought was very helpful and thoughtful.
End of day, feeling dizzy and wheezing, I went home with a fever. Was feeling fine till I went to sleep, then my skin felt really sensitive and hot, surroundings felt cold. Curled up wrapped in my blanket and tried to sleep.

I felt better today, but still feel sick.
I'm having a headache so I worked half-day and went home afterwards. Colleagues seemed concerned about me, which...welll...made me embarrassed.
Feeling much better after a nap. This may be the first time I've fallen ill in 2012! I better take care of my health!

Also, today I learned that phlegm is a substance containing mucus, water, bacteria, glycoproteins, lipids among its ingredients which is produced my mammalian mucous membranes in a bid to rid the body of disease.
