I booked out yesterday!
I can't post anything about NS. It has been an exciting and meaningful experience so far...
I feel like i'm on cloud 9 right now, enjoying luxuries such as my own room, using the toilet as and when I want, being able to sleep whenever I want...etc.
NS has taught me to appreciate these, and not to take the peace we enjoy for granted.
I've just come back from a shopping spree... for my field pack.
The army market at Beach Rd sells just about anything you might ever need in NS!
No need to worry about missing items now! I'll make sure I won't lose any.

I'm at home now, feeling restless and bored. I played all my computer games, I don't feel like buying more.
Bry is not online, hence I can't play online games with him. Most of my poly friends are busy since their semester started around last week.
The only entertainment system I have is my laptop or the television. Or the newspapers, but I've read them already!

It's just 3 more days to NS. I don't feel afraid or anxious, in fact I look forward to it.
My parents are, on the other hand, feeling the opposite of what I feel, especially my Mom. But nevertheless, they now this is part of my life that I'll have to go through.
I shall then part from my daily entertainment systems and take on a life of physical and mental upgrading.
My friends recounted their time spent in NS and said that it was tough and physically straining, but fine. I wonder how my life will turn out there!
Who my sergeant will be...
Which bunk I'll be in...
Which of my friends will be in the same bunk as me...
Who will be my new friends...
And we'll go through hardship, labor and persevere to become gleaming MEN of glory, with washboard abs and buns of steel as well as forge bonds no diamond pick-axe can destroy.

Well....
and countless other thoughts as I twisted tossed and turned in my bed last night.

So here I am saying goodbye, before I take the ferry next Monday,

to the island where Men are made
and daily luxuries are abandoned.
