Sometimes you feel like you've been through a bad day. Lady Luck, being usually fickle decides to focus her wrath unto you for no apparent reason.
I know its ridiculous but aren't there some days where you just seem to be down on your luck?
Well, I seem to be down with the flu. Lady Flu decided to unleash her angst and frustrations unto poor me, deciding to strike me during my 3 off days.
Well, no thank you very much missus, I've been devastated the past 3 days. I have alternated between runny and blocked nostrils as well as endured fleeting headaches and constant trips to the gents due to high water intake.
To be inflicted with the flu is woe, especially at the start of your intended holiday. You get ill and delirious on the first day and try to recover on the second but like a fragmentation grenade, its damage is spread and over the next few days you'll suffer slight sniffles.
You won't be able to eat foods that aggravate your cough or stay awake very much at all.
Plus, when having a conversation with somebody, you have to disguise your thunderous coughing fit as a polite gesture of clearing your throat due to social etiquette in public.

I had been illness free for the past year and now seemingly healthy me has been struck down by a flu bug.
Excuse me while I clear my nostrils.
(an off-tune trumpet is heard blowing in the background.)
I have no idea how I've got it. Maybe someone spread a mutant evolved form to me, one that my body has never encountered before. Or the flu manage to infiltrate when my body's immune system was low, like a rapier piercing a chink in the armor. Or maybe Lady Flu.
I don't know, but all I want to do right now is recover from it.
It'll take a week or so to be completely rid of this flu. I feel that I took being healthy for granted.
My 3 off days ruined, sigh. (sad off-tune trumpet)
