My dear laptop. I miss you so.
I'm sorry for landing you in this state.
I was merely cleaning your RAM . Unscrewing your underside, blowing dirt particles away. Who knew that when i tried to turn you back on, you simply died peacefully.
You used to do this rarely, but you always seem to recover miraculously. It looks like our luck ran out this time.
I remember when i first met you. I was skeptical about your specs, thinking i needed something better, but you proved me wrong. You were responsive, user friendly and above all, lightning fast. I spent almost a fifth of my days, paying attention to you, admiring your beautiful pixels. Games ran smooth as silk, doing homework with you was a breeze, although you tend to distract me from productive thoughts from time to time.
During my years of jc, you were essential. You helped me where i required assistance: homework, moral support, entertainment... you kept me sane during stressful periods, you allowed me to print notes... cartons of it, you kept me in contact with my friends.
It all seemed like a honeymoon.
As time went by, you grew older.
With age, your memory capacity decreased. You overheated more quickly and your battery failed, you had to be permanently plugged to a socket to work.
Your behaviour became erratic. Games had high latency and your display freezes during team fights. I scolded you, threw vulgarities and grew frustrated. You no longer offered me the the level of satisfaction i craved. I even hit you when your display froze. But you just gave that monotone hum all the time.
Sometimes, i felt that you just gave up after working so hard. You just refused to be powered on. I will try so many different methods to revive you.
So many that you'll give in and work for me again. Everytime which i take for granted.
I fondly remember that just recently, i watched batsu games on your screen. Much laughter was had. Those were some good times.
The repairman said that your motherboard was fried. He'll be able to get a replacement for you but how well you recover is a grey area. I've backed up some important files a week ago but will you still have the rest?
Hope you can get well soon. Missing you.
Your computer deprived master.

I've finally gotten myself a smartphone, as well as a data plan. Bam, its been a blast using this amazing piece of technology. Yes, all these months without it, i felt like A techy hermit. I think i won't be able to live without Whatsapp. Heck! I'm still exploring the game apps. I'm using a note3 by the way, so its been a breeze using social media apps, listening to indie music on spotify..etc.
Slight peeve about the advertisements on free apps, but hey, they're free, i won't complain.
My friends rejoiced. Welcomed me to the online social scene and showered me with pretty girl pictures edited with photoshop. My life feels great.
I don't think my post frequency will increase. It's hard to come up with ideas in a mundane life.
My new toy will make things interesting for quite a while. Till then...
Signing off.
